Most recovery audit firms focus on recovering duplicate payments. Almost every audit firm uses software to find the “low hanging fruit” in this area. Our software goes beyond the usual three-way matches to create reports that are analyzed by our expert auditors. However, this is only the beginning of our audit. After all the reports are analyzed, we review the complete vendor payment history and actual disbursement documents (paper or imaged). This extensive review also covers other areas which result in overpayments, such as sales and use taxes, deposits not deducted, pricing variances, discounts, and duplicate or overlapping billings by vendors.
Our auditors will also work with selected vendors to get unedited statements of account. These statements often reveal previously unknown credits.
Management Reports
Our clients’ management teams enjoy the maximized returns generated by our audits, but always want to know why the overpayments were made. Our experienced auditors prepare audit reports which detail the root causes of the errors and recommend system and procedural changes that should reduce future overpayments. Status reports on all filed claims for refund are also a part of our communications with clients.
Maximum recoveries and detailed audit reports benefit our client-partners.
